Dia Mirza Strongly Refutes News Of Being Involved In Bollywood's Drug Nexus Investigation; Actress Says, 'Intend To Pursue The Full Extent Of Legal Remedies Available'

A lot of big names are making it to the news for their alleged consumption of drugs. After Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and others coming on the radar of the Narcotics Control Bureau during the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput's death case,  yesterday, Deepika Padukone's name got linked to the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood. Deepika's chats with manager Karishma Prakash reportedly talking about drugs came to light. Today, it was reported by India Today that Dia Mirza too is on the radar of the NCB. However, the actress has issued a strong statement saying that she has never consumed drugs.

On Twitter, she made a series of tweets stating how these false reports are maligning her image. Her first tweet read, " I would like to strongly refute and categorically deny this news as being false, baseless and with mala fide intentions." Next she tweeted, "Such frivolous reporting has a direct impact on my reputation being besmirched and is causing damage to my career which I have painstakingly built with years of hard work."

Her last tweet said, "I have never procured or consumed any narcotic or contraband substances of any form in my life. I intend to pursue the full extent of legal remedies available to me as a law-abiding citizen of India. Thanks to my supporters for standing by me. Dia Mirza."
